Dr. Kuda Mutama is engineering manager at TS Power Plant owned by Newmont Nevada Energy Investments (of Newmont Gold). His primary interest is in coal-fired generating power plants, believing in their future and seeking their advancement well into the future and particularly improving the regenerative Rankine Cycle. Mutama is an active ASME member and serves on the Steam Turbine, Generator and Auxiliary Committee. He earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in engineering from the Universities of Leeds and Manchester (England), respectively.
