Airguard has introduced Vari+Plus GT, a filter technology engineered specifically to maximize the performance and efficiency of critical turbo-machinery, including gas turbines, compressors, turbo-charged engines, fans, and blowers. At airflows of 625 FPM, Vari+Plus GT filters capture 99%+ of particles 10 microns and larger, which have been shown to cause permanent blade damage through erosion. This filter also captures 96% of particles 5 microns and larger, which protects air handling systems and maximizes output efficiency. Construction features of the filter include a mini-pleat, media-pack design which maximizes media area and minimizes resistance. Dual-density microglass media provides both high dust-loading and deep depth-loading. The binder is water-repellent, and the pleat packs are sealed to prevent leakage and support the struts.
