Precision Engine Controls Corporation (PECC) announces the release of a new digital control device, expanding it's products of aftermarket control solutions. The new product is a PLC-based controller that provides signal conditioning, monitoring, and protection for speed- and temperature-related inputs, and represents a replacement for older Bendix analog legacy modules. Since it is powered by a single 24VDC source, and user configurable via laptop PC, it can be integrated into existing control systems. Several configurations are offered that accommodate inputs for up to six channels of thermocouples, two channels of frequency, and four channels of analog input. It also provides outputs for up to 20 channels of discrete logic and four channels of analog out. Temperature algorithms can also be provided as an integral part of the product. The standard unit is packaged in a NEMA 4 closure, but can also be provided in the basic DIN rail-mount configuration. The equipment is suitable for use in Class I, Div. 2, non-hazardous locations.
